June 6, 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, the Allied invasion of the beaches at Normandy, France during World War II. 2024 also marks the 80th anniversary of the War Memorial Center’s incorporation and the eventual D-Day pillbox design influence on the architecture of the War Memorial building. To commemorate this significant event in world history and celebrate our nation’s freedom, the War Memorial Center in partnership with Kegel’s Inn, the War Memorial Beer Garden, and Explorium Brewpub have collaborated to produce a special beer labeled, 200 Yards.
